Sir Owen G. Glen Building

Talks and Teas: All plenary talks and morning/afternoon teas will take place in the Sir Owen G. Glenn Building.  on the university of Auckland’s city campus.

Welcome Reception: There will be a welcome reception on Sunday 8th December in the Foyer of the Owen G. Glen Building. All conference participants are invited to join us for the welcome reception.

Well-Ventilated Rooms: The University of Auckland has high quality air filtration and ventilation systems in place. Ventilation in lecture theatres and crush spaces is controlled by monitoring occupancy levels and maintaining an upper limit of 800ppm Co2. Air quality sensors in these spaces are used to adjust ventilation rates to meet air quality and temperature requirements.

Outdoor Spaces for Breaks: There are several exits from the conference venue to outdoor spaces that can be used during break periods. You will be able to take food and drinks to these spaces, which will allow you to step outside, get some fresh air, and maintain physical distancing.

Shed 10

Banquet dinner: On Thursday 12th December we will host a banquet dinner at Shed 10 located on Queens Wharf. Shed 10 started life as a cargo shed (you can read more about the history of Shed 10 and Queens Wharf here). It has now been restored and operates as an events venue. Conference participants receive a ticket to the dinner as part of their registration. Guest tickets will also be available for purchase.
