Mathematical Cryptography Workshop
This workshop brings together researchers in mathematics and computer science to discuss problems in mathematical cryptography, with a focus on post-quantum cryptography. The workshop will feature a mix of talks and working groups. We hope that the workshop will serve as a venue for cryptography researchers to share innovative ideas and establish new research collaborations.

Australian Mathematical Science Students Conference
The Association of Australian Mathematics Students (AAMS) is proud to be the reviving of the Australian Mathematical Sciences Students Conference, which will be held from 4-6 December 2024 at Western Sydney University, Sydney. This student-run conference will bring together mathematics students from around Australia and hopefully some international guests. The conference program will include plenary talks, student talks, social events and hopefully some exciting surprises.

Pattern Formation Workshop
Does the system that you are interested in create patterns in space and time? This satellite workshop might be for you!
Pattern formation is a field of study that is applicable to diverse physical systems from fluids to biophysics. Developments in the field in the past 20 years have introduced new approaches to explain the mechanisms that create observed patterns.
Priya Subramanian and Matt Parry are hosting a workshop to bring together researchers working in different methodologies related to pattern formation for a joint meeting focusing on transfer of the latest developments in each area of expertise from amongst these three aspects of pattern formation:
- Modelling and characterisation
- Passive and active systems
- Discrete and continuous systems
The speakers list will include experts in each of these areas spanning applied mathematics, physics and biophysics at the University of Auckland from Wednesday 4 December to Friday 6 December 2024.
The workshop is planned to be just before the NZMS-AustMS-AMS joint meeting, to reduce the number of trips and to piggy-back on that travel to Auckland in early December, which many in our whānau might already be contemplating.
The workshop is open to all Te Pūnaha Matatini investigators and TPM Whānau members, and others.
We encourage participants to present a short talk on the system of their interest in a contributed session. Open problems of interest are most welcome!
